15/07/05 - NMP TO SUPPLY NEW TASMANIAN PRISON PROJECT

NMP are scheduled to supply product for a new Tasmanian prison in the coming weeks. The products involved weren't initially a part of the specified system, however NMP was able to offer the client a cost-effective and credible solution to meet the demanding environment expected during application and service.

The specifics of the job itself, commissioned by the Tasmanian State Government for the Risdon Prison Complex, include using NMP's Self-level FX in 2000sq.m of flooring (including 600sq.m of non-slip modification in the wet areas) and NMP 1515 in over 2000sq.m of walls. The products are solventless, non-hazmat and field-friendly, and will provide hardwearing, easy-to-clean surfaces for the prison over a long period.

This application enhances NMP's escalating profile in the Apple Isle, with Tasmanian companies using NMP products more and more for their non-hazmat transport rating and their field-friendliness, which enables them to be used effectively in the often extreme southern conditions.

16/08/05 - NMP PRODUCTS RECEIVE POTABLE WATER CERTIFICATION

NMP are delighted to announce that tests conducted by an independent laboratory have resulted in several NMP products being approved for use in potable water.

Samples of NMP 1335, 1515, 1535, 1715 and 1725 mid-range coatings were submitted toward the beginning of the year for testing under the AS 4020 standard for potable water. The resultant report revealed that all five coatings passed the inclusive criteria, and were therefore awarded potable water approval.

This certification is an extremely important development for NMP and its overall manufacturing vision. It allows NMP to offer a full range of non-hazmat, chemically-resistant, surface tolerant, moisture tolerant and eco-certified coatings that are potable water-approved and can be used in almost every coating situation - from clear topcoats/sealers (NMP 1335) to heavy-duty, underwater-applied protective coatings (NMP 1725).
